It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface. Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Also, enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. We use a combination of both based on client needs.
Mythbusting Your Pilates Practice:
What is the actual job of a Pilates instructor and how to regain confidence as a student on and off the Mat. How to gain or regain your confidence on the Mat and Apparatus. This, “you’re too short, heavy, tall, thin?” Have you been telling the same story to yourself about yourself? Think you’re not “good” at certain things? Are certain gestures just not what you practice anymore for whatever reason? Do you not teach certain movement patterns because you just don’t “like” them? Well we’re going to bust some myths and get down to why and how you can get back to a more confident place with your own personal practice.

Where Should I Be Feeling This?
What’s wrong with that question? Why is it ok to politely decline to answer? Pilates is a practice, a lifestyle and a method of movement. We are not healers, doctors or therapists. We teach Pilates and that is more than enough. Do we “owe” our students a “burn”? Does “not feeling” it mean a movement has no value? Is it within our scope of practice to tailor a session to our student’s individual nervous systems? Can we help our students find a better more useful vocabulary for sensation, pain, muscle activation and harm.

Stacy Barnes attended Healing Touch School of Massage Therapy in MS and became a licensed therapist in 2009. In 2014 she became licensed in the state of FL. She has been practicing massage for 8 years and practices a variety of modalities which include: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pre-Natal, Hot Stone, Raindrop Therapy, and Reflexology.
Stacy is a very nurturing and are constantly learning new techniques to be able to give her clients the best service possible.

Your one hour in the aerial hammock session will be custom designed. You can also request what style of music your prefer to listen to during your party. Pilates Haus will provide mats, water and towels.

After your one hour private AER-lates session, you will enjoy a 30 minute mix and mingle to cool down and catch up. In addition, our comprehensive program meets the requirements for Pilates Method Alliance certification eligibility. Over the course of our program, aspiring instructors will develop confidence and the knowledge to guide a Pilates class with their unique teaching style. Our goal is to provide the Pilates training needed for you to deepen your own Pilates practice or making a move to a new path in teaching fitness.
